RETURN, EXCHANGE & REFUND POLICY

At Riwaayaat Boutique, customer satisfaction is important to us. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from Riwaayaat Boutique through our website, social media platforms, WhatsApp, marketplaces, or any other sales channel, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. EXCHANGE ELIGIBILITY
We offer exchanges within 7 days of delivery only under the following circumstances:
- Wrong product received.
- Defective product received.
- Damaged product received.
- Genuine size issue (subject to verification and stock availability).
To initiate an exchange request, customers must contact us within 7 days of receiving the order.
2. MANDATORY UNBOXING VIDEO
A clear and uninterrupted unboxing video is mandatory for all claims related to:
- Damaged products.
- Missing products.
- Incorrect products.
- Defective products.
The video must begin before the package is opened and clearly show the shipping label and contents.
Claims submitted without a valid unboxing video may be rejected.
Photos alone may not be sufficient for claim verification.
3. CONDITIONS FOR EXCHANGE APPROVAL
To qualify for an exchange, products must:
- Be unused and unworn.
- Be unwashed.
- Be free from stains, odors, makeup, perfume, or damage.
- Have all original tags attached.
- Be returned in original packaging where possible.
Products failing inspection may be rejected and returned to the customer.
4. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable:
- Sale items.
- Discounted items.
- Clearance products.
- Jewellery.
- Earrings.
- Accessories.
- Hair accessories.
- Intimate wear.
- Innerwear.
- Customized products.
- Personalized products.
- Made-to-order products.
- Gift cards.
- Products with removed tags.
- Products showing signs of use.
5. SIZE EXCHANGE POLICY
Customers are responsible for reviewing the size chart before placing an order.
Size exchanges are subject to:
- Product availability.
- Quality inspection.
- Customer bearing return shipping costs.
If the requested size is unavailable, Store Credit may be issued at the sole discretion of Riwaayaat Boutique.
6. SHIPPING CHARGES
Customers are responsible for:
- Return shipping charges.
- Re-shipping charges for exchanged products.
- Any applicable courier fees.
Shipping charges paid during the original order are non-refundable.
7. REFUND POLICY
Riwaayaat Boutique follows an Exchange and Store Credit First Policy.
As a general rule:
- Monetary refunds are not provided.
- Approved cases may receive Store Credit.
- Store Credit cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Store Credit cannot be transferred to another person.
Where a refund is approved by Riwaayaat Boutique or required under applicable law, processing may begin within approximately 12 hours after approval. Actual credit timelines depend on banks, payment gateways, and financial institutions.
8. STORE CREDIT
Store Credit:
- Can be used for future purchases.
- Cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Cannot be transferred.
- Cannot be refunded.
- Cannot be converted into gift cards.
Riwaayaat Boutique reserves the right to determine Store Credit eligibility.
9. COLOR AND PRODUCT VARIATION DISCLAIMER
Actual product colors may vary slightly due to:
- Screen settings.
- Photography lighting.
- Device display differences.
Minor variations in color, embroidery, print placement, stitching, or handcrafted details shall not be considered defects.
10. FOOTWEAR DISCLAIMER
Customers are responsible for selecting the correct footwear size.
Normal wear and tear, improper use, water damage, and size preference issues are not considered manufacturing defects.
11. CUSTOMIZED AND MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS
Customized, personalized, and made-to-order products are created specifically for the customer.
Therefore:
- No cancellations.
- No returns.
- No exchanges.
- No refunds.
will be accepted once production begins.
12. FRAUD PREVENTION
Riwaayaat Boutique reserves the right to reject requests that appear fraudulent, abusive, or inconsistent with this policy.
We may refuse future service to customers involved in:
- False claims.
- Chargeback abuse.
- Excessive return requests.
- Fraudulent activity.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riwaayaat Boutique's liability shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the product concerned.
We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.
14. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes arising from purchases made from Riwaayaat Boutique shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Silchar, Assam, India, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
